Peter Szyjka

It is my firm belief that good communication is the key to any happy relationship.  This definitely applies to the attorney-client relationship.  If you put your trust in me to handle your case, I promise to not only work hard to obtain the best results for you, but to keep the channels of communication open.  I will not make you go through layers of office staff before you can speak with me.  You can call, text or email me any time.  My cell phone number is below.  I will do my best to take your call or respond to your text or email as quickly as possible.  When you have a problem with an immigration matter, a personal injury case or a landlord-tenant situation, you need to be able to talk to your lawyer, it's that simple.  I also know that zealous advocacy on your behalf can be the difference between winning and losing your case. I am committed to fight for my clients and take my responsibility to help you very seriously.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

“Peter is an expert with immigration law! Highly recommend! He was able to work us through the process quickly AND affordably!" - Beth S. Brockton, MA

My Story

I am an immigrant, just like many of my clients.  I came to the U.S. from Poland in 1989 when I was thirteen years old.  I can relate to what you are going through.  That is why I understand how important it is to get things right.  Delays or denials can affect the well-being of an entire family or the success of a business.  The stakes are high and I welcome the pressure of helping you navigate the complex U.S. immigration laws. I have clients from every part of the world.  Since immigration is a federal law, I can represent clients from everywhere in the U.S., not just Massachusetts. Practicing in this area I can really make a difference in my clients' lives; it is a very rewarding feeling.

I find that when a client suffers a personal injury, they are often overwhelmed and need guidance.  I value the opportunity to take the pressure off my clients and let them focus on their treatment and returning to health.  I handle all the negotiations to make sure my clients are properly compensated.  I try to maximize value of my clients personal injury cases by doing things other attorneys will not do, such as negotiate balances with medical providers and health insurance companies.  All to make sure that as much money goes to the person who needs it most - my client.  Many of my personal injury cases involve motor vehicle accidents, and no case is too small or too big for me.  I also have experience with landlord/tenant litigation, real estate and estate planning matters.

I offer in-person meetings in our Quincy office or my East Sandwich home office on the Cape.  I also offer videoconferencing meetings on Zoom. For personal injury clients who are severely injured and are unable to travel, I can meet you at your home or any other location.

I graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration from Northeastern University in 2000 and with my J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 2003. I have been an active member of American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2006.  Every year I participate as a speaker in Know Your Rights immigration seminars in Greater Boston area.  I am also a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys.
